The Fabian and Anne Patin Home
104 Randy Circle

The park-like setting of the Patin's three quarter acre yard enclosed with over 700 feet of decorative privacy fencing makes one want to run, walk, or lie on a blanket on the rolling lawn.  The 10' naturally sloping site was enhanced by sculpting the earth into perimeter berms and other earthwork design features edged with integrally colored concrete curbing to match the site paving and crushed red stone surfacing.  Year-round vegetables and herbs are harvested from the six raised brick beds set in the crushed red stone plaza.

Besides the generous number and variety of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, bulbs, irises, perennials, and annuals set in pine straw mulch, their back yard boasts two ponds stocked with sac-a-lait, blue channel catfish, and hybrid bluegill bream which makes for a great "fishing hole" for grandchildren and adults alike.  Flagstones set in decomposed granite with seat height stone boulders are featured on the perimeter of the ponds. Among the water features is a waterfall that spills from the upper pond into the lower pond. A third fountain, designed by Fabian and fabricated by an artist in Prairieville, was recently added to the upper pond.  It features copper lotus leaves and three striking red glazed ceramic basins.  Near the entrance of their home, rests an antique sugar kettle that was once on a Patin cattle farm near New Roads.  In the center of the sugar kettle stocked with goldfish resides a whimsical dancing frog fountain.
